The Best of the Worst

A brief explanation, the first thing the Mets were known for was being the worst team anyone had ever seen. So stacking up the worst and seeing which gave off the worst odor only makes sense.

Please note that the 1963–1965 teams could easily have made this list, but after 1962, let’s just say the rest of the decade gets stamped for “time served”—and we can look at other bad clubs from other eras when more was expected of the franchise. And the 1960s had a pretty groovy ending for Mets fans, anyway.
